Sansbury Thanksgiving

I didn't take many pictures at Mom and Dad's on Thanksgiving ( well actually we had Thanksgiving the day after) but the few pictures I did take were pretty good.  We had a great Thanksgiving and got to share good times with our family and all our awesome friends.

 Love this guy!!!

Christmas Pictures on the Square

This girl loves to have her picture taken, so we went to the square and made some Christmas pictures. As you can see she has her pose down.

 My favorite picture

I love how she points her toe

Sassy much????

Turkey Cookies

Embrey Girls making turkey treats

Kristin is really excited about the cookies

We were going to make these with the kids but after spending the entire day in a car with them Adrienne decided her patience could not handle it so we waited until the kids were gone to make them. The kids did however enjoy eating them.

1st hair cut

I didn't really get her hair cut more like a much needed trim. I have trimmed her hair a few times myself  but it was time for a really good trim and who better to do it than Aunt Bekah!!! Ava was really excited about this and Bekah did an awesome job despite Ava's constant wiggling around.

This picture just cracked me up

Thanksgiving Break

Today we had several errands to run including: Wal-Mart, Gezzos for lunch, Belk, library, Bliss for a cupcake, and a hair trim. Since we were in the square and I had the good camera with me I decided to snap a few pictures with the pretty decorations. As you can tell Ava is all about posing. I think I will take her back one day this week and get a few more pictures maybe wearing something Christmasy.
 Seriously can you say diva?

 yummy snack time
Ava had key lime ( which she only ate the icing off of) and I had the strawberry. I ate all of mine :)

A job I could never do

We had our annual Science Olympiad at school and I invited one of my parents who is a fireman to come in and talk to the kids about his job and heat. He was so funny with the kids and had some amazing stories about his job. I think being a fireman is an awesome job, but my goodness was that gear HEAVY!!! He thought it would be cool for the kids to see me embarrass myself by trying to get into the gear quickly. I did okay jumping into the boots ( well I guess jumping into the boots isn't really what I did, I stumbled in) and then he showed me a cool way to throw the jacket over my head. Again I was not so good at that either. Then he put the oxygen on my back and the helmet. It was so heavy. He said it weighed about 80 pounds. I mean 80 pounds is like having a child on you at all times.  Then to think these guys and girls run at full speed into a burning building. Yikes!! It really gave me a much greater appreciation for these guys and gals who risk their lives to save ours. Definitely a cool job but something I could never do, I could barely move 2 feet to take a picture.

Turkey Day Party

Ava's class had their Turkey Day Party and luckily since she is so close to me I got to leave work and join the party. Ava is quiet the diva of her class and all the boys are just crazy about her. I heard several stories from other mom's about the funny things the boys say about Ava. Ms. Katie, Ava's teacher says all the boys compete for her attention. We are so going to have our hands full with this child.
