Ava lea playing with the iPad

This was the 5th take. Ava is pretty much an Ipad pro and we were trying to get some good video of her playing games on it because she is pretty awesome. However she acts pretty crazy in this video. It was close to bed time so she must have been a little delirious, she usually doesn't act so goofy.

Day 20 of 30

Today I am on Eric duty. Which means sitting with Eric as he gets his treatment and listening to his Ericisms all day. Today is his 20th treatment which means only 10 more to go. His last treatment will be July 2 and his bone marrow and port removal is scheduled for July 7th. So he can definitely see the light at the end of his cancer tunnel..Woo hoo!!! It has been a long road but his awesome attitude has really helped him through this difficult time. Anyways Bekah has been out of town this week so Mom and I have been taking turns bringing Eric to Northside since he has to come everyday. I have actually gotten a lot of work done and has usual Eric is pretty entertaining. Today we are watching soccer and then we are going by Georgia State to turn some stuff in for me. Eric is eating nuts and I am blogging so it is pretty crazy up here on the cancer floor. Well that is about it for day 20. I will probably bring him a few days next week so I will post then. I'm off to the McDonalds to get a Frappe.

Princess Bed

Ava and I had a deal that when she started pooping in the potty she could sleep in her "princess bed" aka the big bed. Well yesterday she finally pooped in the potty. She has been peeing in the potty for a few weeks but we just could not get her to poop in there. We have a whole mantle full of presents for her when she finally gets it under control including a Tinkerbell doll, some princess books, a sucker, and a wrapped present. We have been trying to bribe her with anything. She told me Tuesday that I could give all her presents to her friend Canon because he pooped in the potty and she didn't want to. So this week she asked if she could start sleeping in the princess bed. I have been holding off moving her in the big bed because hopefully we will be moving in the next few months and I was just going to wait until we get in the new house to make the transition. Plus we will be redoing her room and I just thought that would be easier. But when she wanted to go ahead and start sleeping in the big bed I figured we would try adding in the going to the potty. Well as of yesterday she went poop in the potty 3 times. So I let her sleep in her big bed. I checked on her several times and she was still in the bed and doing great. I don't know how she did this morning because she was asleep when I left (to take Eric to get his treatment) and Meme was there with her. So hopefully as long as she keeps pooping in the potty she will be making the transition to her princess bed!!

Ava lea watering the grass

It starts a little slow but the end is funny. This is what we do everyday in the backyard. Ava is very good at helping Daddy take care of his new grass.

Noah's Ark

Some friends from work and I decided to take the kids to Noah's Ark for the day. None of us had ever been and boy was it a treat. It was really hot outside but the kids had a blast. Ava really wanted to see a panda bear( her favorite animal) but unfortunately there were no pandas however there were 2 other kinds of bears, a zebra, lots of tigers, a lion, deer, llamas, monkeys, and a lot of birds. It was really a neat place and Ava is already excited about going back and taking Meme.
