We were not sure which list Ava would be on this year. The terrible twos hit us pretty hard, but it looks like she made the nice list after all.

Christmas Eve 2010
In Sansbury Tradition we spend Christmas Eve at MeMe and Ping's joined by all our great friends which we are so very thankful for. It is truly one of the highlights of the season for us. Our friends are very important in our lives and we love spending holidays with them all.
We started by making cookies for Santa
It got pretty messy with an almost 3 year old
Finally Ava got to open her presents
Ava got some really cool stuff this year: a princess castle and tunnel from Uncle Mike, Uncle Eric and Bekah and a really pretty dress and singing doll from Uncle Tim

House Update
We are FINALLY moving. We close December 30th. So I guess we will ring in the New Year moving. However since we have been wanting to move for 4 years we will move on New Years and be glad to start the new year in our new house!!!
Just being cute
Chris took these pictures the other day and I thought they were really sweet. Also just wanted to say that we are officially potty trained. It only took 18 months but I can finally say out loud that she is potty trained. It has been 4 weeks with NO accidents!!! I was beginning to think it may never happen. Merry Christmas to us for not having to buy diapers!!!

Santa
Ava was actually very excited about seeing Santa this year. Ava has an elf named Nocchio that comes to watch her everyday and reports back to Santa every night. Since Nocchio made his appearance on the shelf last week Ava has been very interested in the jolly old guy. She has been talking about going to see him all week but I really thought she would change her mind and not want to talk. But I told her that she had to see Santa or he might not come, so she gave it a go. I didn't get her best smiles but she did pretty good. As usual Geech and Mommy made their annual trip to see Santa.

The day after Thanksgiving
Friday morning I heard Barley barking like crazy at the front door and I figured someone must be at the door. So I went to the door and what did I find but 4 turkeys strutting around in the front yard. I ran and grabbed the camera and took a few pictures of these 4 brave turkeys. I guess the figured they made it through the holiday and could now get out and strut. It was pretty funny. They stopped in the cul-de-sac and stretched their wings before heading on up the street.

The Princess Show
November 13th we went to Disney Princess' on Ice at the Macon Centreplex. Ava had been looking forward to this since August. I must say it was money well spent. She sat still and glued to the show for 2 hours. She absolutely loved the show. She got to see all her favorite princesses and together in one place. Her favorite was Ariel. Chris took almost 600 pictures but here were a few from the show. I tried to pick out one with each of the princesses. It was really a good show and hopefully we will be able to go again if they come back close.
After the show she slept the entire way home.

Ava's Prayer
This was too funny not to write down. As I was tucking Ava into bed she informed me that she could pray by herself. I was very proud of that and makes me thankful that she is at a Christian school. Anyways she said she wanted to say her Ariel prayer ( as in Ariel the Little Mermaid). Not unusual, she has been stuck on Princess prayers for awhile. We thank Jesus every night for all the princesses. So she started her prayer and this was how it went:
Dear Jesus
Thank you for my curtains,
thank you for my life,
thank you for my blanket,
and thank you for the Ipad I play with.
In Jesus name Aaaaamen.
It really took all I had not to bust out laughing. She usually thanks Jesus for random things around her room, but the fact that she threw in her life tonight was too funny to me.

Officer Kendig visits
For our 3rd grade unit on government I invited a very special guest speaker to come and talk to the kids about our local branch of government. Officer Eric Kendig!!! The kids were super excited to have him visit and he did a really great job explaining local government to a room full of 3rd graders. The kids favorite part was when Officer Kendig put me in handcuffs and left me in them the whole time he talked.
Listening intently
Haha Mrs. Embrey is in handcuffs
One of my kids in Eric's SWAT gear
We even got to see his car
Group shot
Bye Eric!! Go serve and protect!!
